Is any similar website like musing.io?

in #musing6 years ago (edited)

Yes, there are similar websites to musing.
By similar - I hope you mean by another steem Q&A dapp. If not, this question will be wrong lol. Maybe you mean centralized ones? Quora and Yahoo answers fit the similar to musing alot but without the rewards function.

Ok, I kinda lied about the website part but not the steem app part!
The steem app I am going to talk that really similar is https://what-app.io/

It description in steemprojects is:
This is a decentralised Q&A platform on the STEEM blockchain that rewards users for asking & answering questions.
Source: https://steemprojects.com/projects/p/what-qa/

However it never caught on like musing did. Why? It was mobile only!
Why apps are the rage much of crypto still uses desktop-we want mobile but desktop is the most way crypto is used. Desktop is just more secure to use. However there is demand for mobile so musing will need to work on app if it wanted to stay relevant.

The next closest thing to musing is Hede .

Hede according to steemprojects is:
Hede is a social and personal knowledge sharing dictionary where you answer the question "What is X?" in simple words and a friendly way. You should just share what you know from your personal experiences, even it is not correct. However, you can verify the information or add a little more by using other sources.

It kinda like musing where you share knowledge but it not much of a competitors. It like a more open Wikipedia or urban dictionary. Yeah more like urban dictionary.

I hope I answered your question :)

yagh, mobile ... i dont think "we want mobile" , mobile is just more widespread because its more affordable and portable in countries where a laptop costs a years wage, in the rich places its a fashion statement but when it comes to productivity, no one will "work" on a mobile phone, so yea ... that dapp is a crApp :p

phone-only, tsk ....

naw talking about all the newbies, they always ask is their a mobile app? So dumb! Not giving up on my pc any time soon!

i wouldnt , lol; the main reason for that smartthing is authenticators, two-fac and that little flashlight on the back hahah , i think iThings are the mean reason why most people comment and answer in replies of two or three words, if you sit at a desk or laptop you just get more cosy to type, while those things induce add, considered to link the planet they actually de-volve communication

(dont wanna sound like an old dude, b/c i'm not old, i'm ancient hahah but i think its not the right tool to work on a place where the core idea is "content" and hopefully "communication" ... but

i'm also not the guy to tell people what to do, i can only speak for me, if its phone crAPP-only i usually wont, with a few exceptions like wechat and line because its hard to keep in touch with some people in asia otherwise
