Mypictureday :Festivities Welcoming Eid al-Fitr in Aceh
Already a month, Muslims in the world, including in Aceh Provinsi, Indonesia, performing fasting in Ramadhan year of Hijri. Month of Ramadan is now over, and has entered month syawal. Happy Eid al-Fitr, for Muslims.
To welcome Eid al-Fitr, it is customary for Muslims in Lhokseumawe City, Aceh Province, Indonesia to implement "Takbir" around by using various vehicles. As done on Thursday, June 14, 2018 night time western Indonesia.
Thousands of Muslims follow "Takbir". Some use trucks, intreculer, and also two-wheeled vehicles. For every car, there will certainly be megaphone, while echoing "Takbiran". Parade will surround predetermined route. Although before entourage move, will be marked with beating "Tambo".
Tambo is traditional tool in Aceh, once used by community to announce things that happen in a village, including entry of prayer times. This tool is usually placed in places of worship.
