[ESP/ENG] Carrera de Héroes / Hero's Run - #MyPictureDay
Last Saturday we received a call around midday.
Call: Are you able to work today and tomorrow?
TheMonkeyzuelans: Yeah, sure!
Call: But the work is in Caracas, are you still able?
TheMonkeyzuelans: Yeah, sure!
Call: But you have to be there today by 4:00 PM.
TheMonkeyzuelans: (DANG)... Yeah, sure!
Two things about that "conversation"; first, Caracas, Venezuela's capital, is like an hour and a half car drive from our city @Maracay; second, we're totally against rejecting work, we kinda can't say NO to work.
We had to cover an event called "Superhero Run", were there was people with superheroes and villians costumes everywhere thru the run, there was a 7K run for adults and 3K walk for kids. Our job was to take pictures of the whole event and film several strategic points with a drone, so we had like an hour to look for another pair of hands to help us with at least another camera, once we found the other person that was going to help us we drove to the place to be there just in time at 4:00 PM to talk with the event organizers, know the route and make a test flight.
Sunday at 6:30 AM and we're already on place with all set up. What came up after that was exactly as we expected... Runing behind kids to get the shots and flying drone here and there, and there, and there, and there.

Llamada: ¿Pueden trabajar hoy y mañana?

Llamada: Pero el trabajo es en Caracas, ¿pueden?
TheMonkeyzuelans: ¡Si, seguro!
Llamada: Pero tienes que estar allí a las 4:00 PM.
TheMonkeyzuelans:: (MIERD4)... ¡Si, seguro!
Dos cosas sobre esa "conversación"; primero, Caracas, la capital de Venezuela, está a una hora y media en auto de nuestra ciudad @Maracay; segundo, estamos totalmente en contra de rechazar trabajo, no podemos decir NO al trabajo.
Tuvimos que cubrir un evento llamado "Carrera de Superhéroes", donde había gente con disfráces de superhéroes y villanos por todas partes de la carrera, había una carrera de 7K para adultos y una caminata de 3K para niños. Nuestro trabajo era tomar fotos de todo el evento y filmar varios puntos estratégicos con un dron, así que tuvimos como una hora para buscar otro par de manos para ayudarnos con al menos otra cámara, una vez que encontramos a la otra persona que nos iba a ayudar nos dirigimos al lugar para estar allí justo a tiempo a las 4:00 PM para hablar con los organizadores del evento, conocer la ruta y hacer un vuelo de prueba.
El Domingo a las 6:30 AM y ya estábamos en el lugar con todo listo. Lo que surgió después de eso fue exactamente lo que esperábamos... Corriendo detrás de los niños para conseguir los disparos y volando drone aquí y allá, y allá, y allá, y allá, y allá.
Había un Flash de 12 años que ya estaba en su 4ta vuelta justo después de que empezara la carrera. / There was a 12 years old Flash that was already on his 4th lap right after the run started.
Spiderman siendo remolcado / Spiderman being towed.
Había familias enteras con los disfraces de sus personajes favoritos. / There were whole families with their favourite characters costumes.
¿Que es una carrera sin Zumba? / What's a run without Zumba?
Spiderman, con Spiderman y Spiderman. / Spiderman, with Spiderman and Spiderman.
El Joker desenmascarando a Batman, pero un segundo después Batman le ganó para el final feliz / The joker unmasking Batman, but a second later Batman beating him for the happy ending.
Las mamas filmando cosas que les mostrarán a los amigos de sus hijos cuando crezcan para hacerlos pasar pena / Moms filming things that are gonna show to their childs friends when they'r all grown up to embarrass them.
Adultos y niños mostrando sus súper poderes para caminar / Adults and kids showing their super walking powers.
Vimos un pequeño Chewbacca desteñido con botitas / We saw a little bleached Chewbacca with little boots.
We decided to close post for @timsaid's #MyPictureDay challenge with the image of Deadpool being Deadpool, I mean, look at him, what's more suitable for Deadpool than a Zumba class?

What a fantastic idea for a fun run - Superhero's - and it looks like everyone put so much effort into the costumes - some great ones I do like the Joker, and DeadPool really got the moves going on.
I see Venezuela and instantly think @crisangel - where are you my good friend come bring some upvote to this wonderful post 😉
Thoroughly enjoyed this post, so much work put into the layout I love you put the English and Spanish in separate columns of text with the flag above - works so well and I have never seen it done that way before.
Really very impressed with this post, Photography is awesome but it looks like it is your work as well - but aside from that so much effort into laying it out and making it multilingual - a really good example that I think needs to be shared so much more.
And I have to say I adore that footer image - the Monkey in shades with your account name - on the cut out A4 lined paper - really 100% slick did you create that yourself? That just blows me away, really very impressive.
Superb post, and this is what Steemit desperately needs to fix - so many people would love this post but getting the people to the post is just so hard - I will try though for you.

Mierda¡Si, seguro! , muy alentador jajaja, expresa todas las ganas y disposición para hacer lo que más les gusta a pesar de las adversidades, por eso es bueno trabajar con lo que uno más le divierta. Todas las fotos están tremendamente geniales, cada detalle, cada disfraz, cada sonrisa, todo en una completa sincronía y engranaje de armonía, que hace ver las fotos espectaculares. Muy curioso ver tantos héroe en las calles jajaja, aunque no vi a Iron-Man, uno de mis favoritos. Saludos y un fuerte abrazo.Por allí en las fotos se pueden ver un par de máscaras de ironman, pero más allá de eso y algunas camisas con el motivo no había mucho de Ironman, asumimos que es porque un disfraz del hombre de acero lleva muchísimo trabajo y para caminar sería algo más incómodo, pero que tanto! Serías fácil volar hasta la meta y ya no? Jajajaja te regalamos esta foto que tomamos con el celular antes de empezar pero es una lástima que no lo vimos durante el resto el evento ¡Saludos! 😜

i love the superheroes! I would have liked to be there! they would see me disguised as Batman running through the streets hahaha what a great idea!
We can definitely imagine that! Like someone running putting your cape up with your arms backwards hahaha the event was fun and there was a lot of happy people, I hope they do it at least once a year from now on!
