Myths & Legends week 5 " Dryads and Artemis"

This is my presentation for this great contest, my work refers to the legend of maya. a famous figure from the land of India. the "The Great King of Maratha" a founding fighter of the Indian navy. which name is "Shhivaji Maharaj".

Who is Shivaji Maharaj?

The Great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is as one of the greatest fighters of his day and even today, the story of his exploits is often told as part of folklore. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has a very inspiring and captivating personality, the highest loyalty and sacrifice of devout soldiers and peasants. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is also a persistent promoter of secularism and awakens the conscience of a neglected nation with its sleeping dreams. He is also a leading figure of the independence movement in Maharashtra and a source of inspiration for Hindus throughout India.

Shivaji Bhosle was born on 19 February 1630 to Shahaji Bhosle and Jijabai in Shivneri fortress, near Junnar town in Pune district. . Shivaji married a beautiful princess Saibai Nimbalkar in 1640. Shivaji Maharaj became leader at a very young age. At the age of 16, Shivaji Maharaj succeeded in winning the first victory after they captured the Torna Fortress of the Bijapur Kingdom. In 1647 he had taken possession of the castles of Kondana and Rajgad and controlled most of the southern Pune region.
