Self-supply for my home of fruits and vegetables and their health benefits

Hello my dear Stemians, Today I want through this blog to show part of the vegetables and fruits that I have been growing around my house.

It is important to say that due to the crisis we are experiencing today in our nation Venezuela and the cost to acquire food specifically fruits and vegetables, we have been augesting planting some vegetables, vegetables and fruits in the back of our houses.

As we know vegetables and fruits have unique nutritional qualities and are very necessary for the proper functioning of our body. Some are very low in calories, contain large amounts of water, water-soluble vitamins, beta-carotene and minerals.

These are the different items that I have currently harvested: pumpkin, lechozas, tomatoes, lemons, ajies, among others.

the pumpkin.

The squash or pumpkin is a vegetable that generates various health benefits. The nutritional value of the pumpkin is able to improve vision, reduce the risk of developing diseases such as cancer and diabetes.
Also inside are seeds that also have healing properties.

The pumpkin also contains beta-carotene that protects the skin from ultraviolet rays, favors eye health, in addition to containing excellent antioxidants to prevent the opacity of the cataract lens.
¡Remember that our nature is wonderful!

Many people are unaware of the healing properties of the pumpkin seed and the truth is that there are many health benefits. They contain: magnesium, omega 3 and you can include them in your diet toast or raw.

Lechoza

Lechoza or papaya is a diuretic fruit, increases the natural defenses by containing abundant vitamin C, improves the health of the skin, contains excellent vitamins A
Restores the acid-base balance of the organism, improves constipation, contains abundant fiber and lycopene (antioxidant function). It also prevents cardiovascular diseases (flavonoids)

Tomato


It is rich in vitamins and minerals, this vegetable provides vitamin C, a powerful natural antioxidant, as well as vitamin A, K, iron and potassium. So the tomato is a necessary food for our health, therefore it can not be missing from our table. It reduces the arterial hypertension, decreases cholesterol levels, fights diabetes among other diseases.

In conclusion my dear friends , I wanted to share with all of you part of my planting to help the health of my family and self-manage in the midst of the crisis we are living.

This post made me smile cos it feels so familiar! So many of the things growing easily and abundantly here in Thailand are apparently equally happy in Venezuela. Congrats to you that as your country struggles toward political reform, that you are contributing positively with knowledge and with your garden. We Love Pumpkin Seeds!
