A day at the park

Come take a walk with me today down to one of the local Florida boat rams. 🦆🕊 So today we needed to go look for duckweed for our musk loggerhead turtles 🐢. And I always enjoy seeing the local cranes and birds. Though i would share some of what we see.

This is a sand hill crane. They normally run in pairs, but think this ones mate might have passed away not sure. But he is always here and seams to be looking for her. There use to be two of them just a few weeks ago now its just the one ? .. from what ive been told and seen, these cranes onky hatch one chick at a time. Ill try and see if i can find or get a picture of a little family soon.

This tall white bird is a egret.

This is a limpkin also called, carrao,courlan, or crying bird. They eat molluscs and apple snails. This one was sure busy pulling them snails from the muddy water.🐌

It sure is a beautiful day even if it looks like rain💦
