Daily Nature Fix: Beautiful Green Canyon by iPhone. (Original Photos)

Hi guys! Time for some iPhone photos! This is Fjaðrárgljúfur:

Quite a beauty, isn't she? This canyon is found in southern Iceland, maybe an hour east of the town "Vik". This was our third trip to the country and we never saw this place before, so we were blown away once we arrived. It's huge! In the photo above, notice the little person to the upper right.

It was much bigger than I anticipate. A sign said that it's 100 meters deep in some spots. Whats that? Like 300 feet? 30 freaking stories?! I was happy the weather was nice the day we visited because the green grass everywhere really lit up. The blue sky was a nice backdrop, though you couldn't see in these washed out photos. Another example to give you some size reference: those two specks at the creek edge in the middle of the photo are people.

And the really kicker? Check out that blue water! One of my favorite things in nature. We liked this canyon so much, that we got some of our wedding photos here!

Yeah, that last one isn't an iPhone photo, btw. lol That is one is by the incredible photographer and fellow steemian @jolleenwillis. It was kinda scary walking out on that ridge for the photo. It was only around 6 feet wide and a 300 foot drop on either side. Glad we did it though. What a great memory!
