Awesome idea for good: Lacoste swaps crocodile for 10 endangered species.

Lacoste recently replaced its famous crocodile logo with 10 endangered species as part of a partnership with Save our Species and the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Pretty cool, right?

But here’s the really brilliant part: the number of shirts available were directly correlated to the number of animals remaining in the wild. For example, only 30 shirts were made available for the Vaquita porpoise, 40 for the Burmese Roofed Turtle, 67 for the Javan Rhino and so forth. You get the point.

Of course, the effort sold out in no time. But let’s hope they do something like this again soon, as I’m sure there’s a bunch of people out there, like myself, who didn’t get a chance to purchase as shirt.

And before you ask…yes, the proceeds from each shirt are being donated to each of the species’ conservation funds.
