Lake Kournas*1

This is lake Kournas, the only freshwater lake in all of Crete and is actually the only like you can walk fully around. It is situated in the Chania region of Crete which is the west of Crete known for its idyllic mountain ranges, cooler temperatures and old cultural towns.

The lake itself is clear and has good water quality all year.
