A day from the mountains in northern Norway.
Lakselvvannet 12.01.2019.
Finally weekend, better weather and possibilities for a hike in daylight. Todays hike was to a water called Lakselvvannet (The lake with the Salmon river). The path go up to a narrow valley with big rocks and some pine trees before the path lead down to the lake.
It is quite a lot of loose snow in the forest. The first part of the hike we used ski. When the terrain went uphills, we left the skies and used snowshoes.
View of the lake. On the snow-covered stone we enjoyed a hot cup of coffee and food. But first I had to take a picture :-)

Thanks for taking us on your winter adventures. So different than my life here in NorCal.

Wow! that looks so amazing! What an experience. Just a question about your dog. Do you put something on his paws or body or he is fine as he is in the snow? I assume it must be really cold weather!

Thank you for the interest. My dog Nero love snow and is just fine as he is. I have to look after the paws, especially if the snow is hard and we are out on longer hikes. Then I can take socks on. When he is resting he sometimes choose to lay on a mat, but the fur is thick and it must be quite cold out, and little activity before he getting cold. This day was it around minus 5 degrees Celsius.
