This star fruit is growing and ready to harvest, this tree is in the front yard of my house in Bandar Aceh. This fruit is fresh tropical fruit with a slightly sour and sweet taste at the same time. This starfruit can also be eaten immediately with thin skin. With shady trees, thick leaves and the branches isn't so tall, so overall I like it because it's easy to pick the fruit.
And then, look at the fruit shape that is like a star, when it is young it be green, and when it's ripe enough it starts to turn yellow which is pretty beautiful and taste delicious. I think this is one of the special fruit trees that are easily found in Aceh.

I have bought them in the grocery store, but have never seen them growing on a tree! How lucky you are to have your own tree! Do you preserve them, or only eat them fresh?
@melinda010100 thanks! i feel blessed having them grow here. Yes, i only eat them fresh and never try to preserve them before. Making a dessert or ice sorbet from it it might be good idea as the weather is sunny here;D
