The inhabitants of the country are very honored by the memory of the most popular Finnish composer of his era, Jane Sibelius. After all, he wrote not only a lot of musical works, but also an unofficial anthem of the country. He, by the way, was banned during the reign of Emperor Nicholas II. Therefore, to create a monument of power came with all responsibility. The well-known Finnish sculptor Ayla Hiltunen worked on it for ten years.
By the way, the residents of the city and tourists, he from the very beginning caused far from the most unequivocal emotions. But over time, the townspeople understood the idea of the master, understood her vision of the image of the composer.
The monument is a composition of 580 pipes. Through them the wind is buzzing, reminding that in the music of Sibelius, the image of nature played an enormous role. A sculptural portrait of a musician is located nearby.
