Bellows pond at Sears Bellows County Park, Hampton Bays, LI, NY. Just under 1,000 acres with camping and hiking trails.
There are two large ponds at Sears Bellows. Bellows close to the parking area and the other named Sears which is about 2 1/2 to 3 mile round trip walk. I started on the trail to Sears but turned around before getting there. I didn't have a trail map so I wasn't prepared. I Was the only car there when I started and only two others when I was ready to leave.
I was watching the Google Map that you indicated in the post (which by the way, I think it's a good idea for someone who needs more information to get to these sites), and the truth is that in that area there are a lot of ponds / parks ... the truth, there is no way to get bored a weekend.

Only a small part is opened to the public. Ticks have kept the informed away. :-)
