Know Your Place: The Glory of Nature Walking

in #nature6 years ago (edited)

Living in an area offers many opportunities to connect to cycles, rhythms and characters near you.

Each walk is unique and teaches us about our bioregion. We love to find new trees and animal signs, to take note of water levels and appreciate a space through the seasons.

It’s always humbling to remember that we are always learning and there’s always something new to discover.

We discovered a Bur Oak tree, with one of the largest acorns, right near our home. Excited to get to know this tree! And its acorns!

Consider the way a young child greets the world and how much awe is present. Walking around your home become that same type of awe inspiring experience, as it is for us.

Those acorns are so cool and I just love the photos! I delight every day in something around here, and I am sure that I could spend my life studying and exploring this land and still find new things I've never seen before (or I am seeing in a new light).

Love this photo of you two xxx

Lovely nature walk. Gorgeous stream. Cool rock shelf. Just great pictures!

so natural :)

Odd the way the strings grow out of the acorn caps. So unique. It's turned cold here in New England and looking at you knee deep on the water brought chills!
