BABY ROUGH GREEN SNAKES HATCHING
These are some of the first photos we took of the hatching.
A couple of days ago Red-Pepper noticed some rough green snake eggs starting to hatch. Soon, most of us were gathered for the "birth" and stood in awe at what we saw. Eventually our four oldest children were each allowed to hold an egg in their hand while it hatched, so it really became a special experience. More to come! Enjoy!

That’s true. We see a lot of snakes here, and I love them. Most are not poisonous and they get a bad rap from people who kill them just because they are snakes. I took a video clip of a little corn snake the other day.

Stunning pics!! Usually we immediately relocate snake eggs to a bit of jungle not far away, given the likelihood of them being vipers or cobras. LOL. But these guys are sooooo cute!! Snakes we have a PLENTY in tropical Asia - LOl - like everywhere. Wonder at the natural world and a lifelong feeling of welcome for snakes? You're doing something right with your children.
