Raising Tadpoles (Day 121) - Things Continue Smoothly
Day 121
I transferred 3 froglets that had grown too large over to the juvenile section of the 20 gallon aquarium. This brings the total from 10 in the froglet section and 15 in the juvenile section to 7 in the froglet section and 18 in the juvenile section. There's also a recently developed froglet in the tadpole tank that I'll be moving over to the 20 gallon tank during or just a little before tomorrow's feeding, with two more froglets soon to be on the way.
I'll also lower the amount of tadpole suspension I feed to the tadpoles from 2.5 ml to 2 ml for tomorrow's feeding. Then I'll test the water again tomorrow to see how the tank conditions are in both tanks. If the ammonia level in the tadpole tank is still 0.25 ppm, it may be possible to decrease the daily water changes to being performed every other day instead, especially now that we're about to be below 20 tadpoles left in the tank soon.
