My sister started beekeeping last spring she's been stung a few times but not as severe as yours. I've been lucky that all the times that I've helped with the hive that I haven't been stung. Hope the swelling goes down soon.
Perhaps you could get your brothers to make you a smoker as shown in this video. I would have been interested in seeing you harvest the honey.
