extreme living in the ocean
It isn't overstating how amazing these animals to say they are simply the masters of deep ocean diving seals. They will spend about 80% of their lives in deep open ocean environments and only going back to land to breed and to molt/regenerate their skin and fur. Their food source is primarily squid species and approximately 85% of their dives are below 600m|1800ft, with a max depth recorded at 1500m|4500ft!! The time is at almost 3 hours under the water holding their breath ~ Impressed yet?
Ok.. then, what I told you that they are only looked after by their mother for only 21-23 days and then they are on their own to work out what to do, who is a predator, where to find food and how to navigate back and forth from their foraging ground to their breeding & molting grounds, which can be over 1800km away from one another. You gotta be somewhat impressed now, right?
Well, lastly the reason they can hold their breath for as long as they can is for a few reasons. 1) Their spleen acts as a secondary oxygenated blood source that is about 5% of their total body weight. 2) They have a huge amount of blood compared to humans - we have about 60ml|kg, they can have up to 100-175ml|kg of blood!!!
That is all I got for now, besides this adorable photo of two males deciding to have bit of a tumble near the coastline, which is always funny to watch - hence the one guy's face. You think you have it tough?

My God always give for eating to every living thig. Fish eating in water and we eating in earth or land. But we cant live in water more time without any source of oxygen and fish cant live in land without water. Its from my God who never keep any thing without eating.

Dang that is a short time to be a baby and then freed and sent off all of a sudden!
yeah! most of them sadly do not survive their first year, which is due to a combination of factors but main is that they are naive about predators until it is too late
