Let me tell you a secret? I've got thousands of pictures of tree bark! I love photographing them, feeling them! It's as if they were wrinkles that life leaves to trees. It's easy to see how much they've lived, the way they breathe just by looking at those cracks, those layers. Life is a great tree that gives us shelter. Nice afternoon, @velimir.

One of the reasons that attract me photographically are the trees, and particularly their trunks. This photograph of yours records in a very expressive way the force of that matter, of that life sheltered in the tree in struggle with its deterioration. The effect of the light on it intensifies the vision of its texture, of its volume, the presence of those layers of bark that survive its ruin or its metamorphosis. Thank you for such a beautiful photo, @velimir.
I love shots of trees, bark, and moss. Back at my US house I have some amazing locust trees and they have the most amazing gnarled and almost cork like bark.
