Very nice photos of your journey. I can't say that I have ever walked through a burned forest but there could be a variety of reasons why the forest looked burned. I can say you never know what's on the other side of an adventure until you've crossed it.

Thank you! Some Portuguese forests were set on fire to harvest a certain layer of eucalyptus trees for paper production. The fires got out of hand and control, due to wind and months without rain. Eventually quite a lot of victims were made and a lot more forest burnt down than planned. That doesn't make it less beautiful though.

Pretty and beautiful Indeed.
A quiet place to reflect upon oneself.

There used to such places near my home too (Andaman Islands) with only exception of coconuts instead of Pine :D

Wow! Have you ever seen a burnt down coconut forest? ;>)

Yes, Bro, It is true... Though they were not burnt but kinda dead. All were nothing but tall poles without any leaves. :D

Hello. Nice pictures with mood.

I regularly travel through burnt out areas especially in summer. They would have been burned off in the winter months when fires are easier to control so we don't have raging bushfires that spread everywhere.

Have also travelled through a specifically burnt out pine planatation (so not quite a forest but near enough for where we are XD) which is on the way to one of my partner's relative's houses which is a 3-4hr drive from our place :)

Your feeling isn't too unusual, I know some people who think similar things about cemetaries.

goatsig

There wasn't much forest left here but a burnt out pine plantation might give a similar feel. Here the fires were at their height in October ( Autumn ) last year, when the weather was still very warm.

Yeah, I agree. Cemeteries are pretty peaceful too. Even though zombie movies might give us a different idea.

REALLY cool! Perfect sky for it, too!
