My mom planted this pine tree when it was a baby tree about 21 years ago. As you can see it’s now taller than her house here in Texas.

Howdy there violetmed! wow that tree really excelled didn't it? We have some of those here, the pine needles drive us nuts because the trees are close to the house. But they look nice!

Lovely macro shot of the cone. Amazing tree.

Thank you so much!

That tree has an awesome story behind it! What a cool reminder! Thanks for sharing it!!

Is it a white pine? I think the white pines have the longer cones. I think the Scotch pines have rounder cones that are super prickly. Sorry for being such a tree nerd, I grew up around these plants though :)

You are probably right. I don't know what kind of pine tree this is.

That's a lovely one. Nice trunk shape and branch spread.

Better yank out that little oak tree. They have aggressive roots!

trees that family planted are just that much more special I do believe and WOW it has grown big

Yes, it has done amazingly well!

That cone fruit look like pineapple 😂😂

Things grow fast and big in Texas :-)

The tree is nice, but that pine cone is fascinating! I haven't seen one quite that colorful before.
