Brooklyn Nets Clinch Playoff Spot!
It’s been a 4 year drought and a long 4 years at that. You were not supposed to be here. This year was expected to be a small step towards building a better, stronger, and more cohesive tomorrow. But you guys had other plans.
Coach Atkinson and GM Sean Marks put together a squad of castaways, youngins, with a sprinkle of veteran leadership. They used the little draft picks that they had available to bring in some new blood. It worked out better than anyone could have hoped for.
With one game left in the season, you have now locked yourselves into a playoff spot where you currently sit in the 6th seed. The worst you can do is finish the season at .500 or possibly be one game above. A far cry from the 28 wins of last season.
For the first time in a long time, it’s honestly exciting to be a Nets fan again. This team has been one of the better stories in the league this year. Broken are the chains and shackles that bound this team to the doldrums for years. Competent leadership along with players who hunger and have something to prove are now just the norm. The excitement and support that spews from this team in terms of the bench dance celebrations to the water dousings have been nothing short of spectacular, and the fans are eating it up.
Whatever happens in the playoffs...enjoy this and know it’s just the start of something magical. Welcome back guys.

Oh absolutely. Lol. As a Nets fan, I’ve been the laughing stock of my hoops lovin’ friends for ages outside a handful of years. Funny part is the Knicks have stunk for the better part of several decades and yet still have a better turnout and following. I’m fine with that though. Nets are setting themselves up for a really strong push the next decade.
