The Los Angeles Lakers recorded their first preseason win against the fellow western team Sacramento Kings. Laker's head coach Luke Walton continued his experiment both in starting lineup position to second unit rosters which is necessary for team chemistry as they have aquired a bunch of new faces this summer. Brandon Ingram played the starting point guard postion in their third preseason game which is Rondo's role in the previous two games.

Ingram the former second pick in the 2016 NBA draft showed that he is really becoming one of the top prospects and future Lakers star against the Kings in which he dropped game high 31 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 assists to win the game. Luke used the young prospects core to close the game 128 to 123 over the long time rivals Sacramento Kings which is a good move considering they lost a lot of close games last season due to lack of experience of young stars.

Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart also continue to perform solid numbers in which they combined for a total of 34 points dropping 17 points each. Kuzma's defense is a revelation in this preseason which is surprising considering he is only raved about his offensive skill sets. Josh Hart proved that he is not only a solid defender but could be one of the best well rounded 3 and D guy in the near future.
