At ecoDesigns, our principal objective this year will be to complete setting up the ecoDesigns workshop, empower more women and girls, organize clothes drives, start a thrift store and commence the effective marketing of our textile upcycled products.

  1. We look forward to organizing 3 street sales and ecoFashion shows to sensitize the people of our community and the world about textile waste pollution and the work we are doing.

  2. We will upcyle at least 2000 pounds of textile waste.

  3. We will graduate 04 of our trainees who have been learning textile waste recycling and fashion designing into ecoFashion Designing Entrepreneurs in January June and December 2019.

  4. We will donate 5000 dresses we collect from our clothes drives to orphans, prisoners and poor people.

  5. We will continue to create more partnerships with individuals and organizations that share thesame vision with us.

  6. Start selling our garments and eco-products in Steem and do international deliveries.

  7. Improve our relationship with our clients and attract more new clients.

EcoDesigns is a textile recycling and fashion designing hub of The Greens (@thegreens) that trains young girls for FREE in Textile Recycling and Fashion Designing in a bid to reduce female unemployment, inequalities and poverty, promote female entrepreneurship, improve the health and wellbeing of orphans, prisoners and poor people via the donation of free clothes, as well as combat textile waste pollution and climate change.

It’s a branch of The Greens’ Waste Business Hub, a startup incubator that is training young and underprivileged youths to exploit the business opportunities available in the domain of waste, hence nurture a generation of Waste Business Entrepreneurs (Wastepreneurs). Waste Business Hub is currently educating and empowering youths in the recycling of tires, textile and plastic wastes.

EcoDesigns currently has 03 Training Directors and 13 female trainees who are learning fashion designing, embroidery and overlocking as well as how to transform textile trash into textile treasure.
