Welcome to my blog, dear members of the community of: #needleworkmonday, #steemitmamas, #ultimatecrochet, #creativity, #crochet and steemit in general.

After weaving the Leprechaun (https://steemit.com/needlework/@fabianaporteles/crochet-weaving-for-st-patrick-s-day-tejido-a-crochet-para-el-dia-de-san-patricio) for the @foxyspirit contest, among the things I saw on the Internet about St-Patrick's Day, I really liked the leprechaun's pot with gold. So I decided to weave the leprechaun pot with gold for the presentation of this blog.

Irish legend has it that the leprechauns are very rich, as they have a pot full of gold coins at the end of the rainbow.

Materials

  • Crochet thread (black, yellow and green)
  • Needle (1.45mm or 3)
  • Scissors
  • Crochet sewing needle
  • Wadding
  • Steps for making the pot with gold

    black crochet thread

  • lap 1:
12 single crochet inside a magic ring.
  • lap 2:
    1 single crochet, 1 increase.
  • lap 3:
    3 single crochet, 1 increase (step 1).
  • lap 4:
    5 single crochet, 1 increase.
  • lap 5:
    8 single crochet, 1 increase.
  • lap 6:
    9 single crochet, 1 increase.
  • lap 7:
a single crochet on each single crochet of the previous lap.
  • lap 8:
a single crochet on each single crochet of the previous lap.
  • lap 9:
a single crochet on each single crochet of the previous lap (step 2).
  • lap 10:
    6 single crochet, 1 decrease.
  • lap 11:
    5 single crochet, 1 decrease.
  • lap 12:
    5 single crochet, 1 decrease (step 3).
  • yellow crochet thread

  • lap 13:
a single crochet on each single crochet of the previous lap (step 4).
  • In this part the clover of 3 green leaves is sewn, already woven previously. (step 5 and 6)

Then stuffed with wadding (step 7)

  • lap 14:
    2 single crochet, 1 decrease.
  • lap 15:
    1 single crochet, 1 decrease.
  • lap 16:
    continuing decreases.
  • lap 17:
continuing decreases; until the sphere is closed (step 8).
  • black crochet thread

Then a sliding stitch is woven in black thread, between black and yellow (between laps 12 and 13). (step 10).
In Step 9 shows the same stitch as step 10, but in white crochet thread so it can be seen.

  • lap 18:
a single crochet on each slip stitch of the previous lap.
  • lap 19:
    2 single crochet, 1 increase. (step 11).

Then to make the ears of the pot, I knit a single crochet inside out (from left to right), in black crochet thread. Followed by 14 chains that will join with the other end. (step 13).

In Step 12 shows the same stitch as step 13, but in white crochet thread so it can be seen.

After weaving the 2 ears we would have the leprechaun pot of gold ready. (step 14).

What a cute pot of gold! Thanks for sharing the process and pictures!

Cute! I don't like making amigurumi and other small stuff myself but I admire those that do :)

Thank you, doing small things takes more work at the time of doing the details, as they must be even more miniatures. The pot with gold measures 3cm high by 3.5cm wide and the clover measures 1.5 cm.

However all weaving of any size is an art that needs to be done with love and dedication.
