My Finished Infinity Scarf/ Cowl/ Shawl

My indecision last week had a great benefit for me. I ended up with an item that is very flexible in its application. I am in Winter Park, Colorado with snow covered roads and frigid air. My crocheted item is right on time.

The scarf is extra wide because I originally was thinking that I would make a shawl. After getting feedback from several members in the #needleworkmonday community, I decided on the infinity scarf for sure.

Even though I checked the weather report before I came here, and I knew that snow was in the forecast, I still could not have predicted the off and on snow patterns. It is absolutely beautiful, but cold and wet.

My scarve lets me cover my head, shoulders and neck when I am outside. I am glad that it ended up wider than a typical scarf. It works inside and outside.

I used the rust colored yarn to finish off the edges of the scarf.

This is one of the few trips that I have taken recently without some yarn and a project. I really did not feel that I would have enough free time to get some serious needlework in between sight seeing.

It snowed all night and the roads as well as my car are covered in about 6 inches of snow. I wonder if it will melt or if I will have to knock it off myself. Oh well, some work is required if you want the beauty of being surrounded by mountains.

I’ll take another picture later with my infinity scarf on. Right now though, I’m going to have a cup of coffee in front of the fireplace.
