East Homs Map Update: Syrian Army squeezes ISIS in its last pocket
DAMASCUSM SYRIA (3:00 P.M.) - The Syrian forces launched a full-scale offensive to uproot – once and for all – the Islamic State from it last bastion in eastern Homs countryside.
Led by the 3rd Corps of the Syrian Army, the government troops managed to recapture Wadi Salahub and Rashwani areas following fierce clashes with the extremist militants.
The recent advance puts the Syrian forces nearly 30 km from other Army units fighting the terror group from the western axis near the strategic T3 station.
