Hmaymim Airbase celebrates "Russia Day"

BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:40 P.M.) - The Russian military held a celebratory ceremony to honor Russia Day at the Hmaymim Airbase in southwest Latakia today.

"At a solemn rally held before the servicemen of the military, a congratulations from the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation were read out," the Ministry of Defense added.

In addition, the command of the Russian Armed Forces in Syria awarded state and departmental awards to distinguished servicemen.

"The festive meeting ended with a solemn march of personnel and a defile with the song of a military orchestra," the military department said.

On Russia day, the best Russian performers, music and dance groups, including the Russian Ministry of Defense, performed in front of the air base personnel. For Russian servicemen popular pop songs and choreographic performances were performed.
