Infamous jihadist leader holds meeting with militant group in Idlib

BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:50 A.M.) - The infamous leader of Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham, Abu Mohammad Al-Joulani, was photographed on Sunday meeting with another militant group in the Idlib Governorate.

According to pro-opposition activists, Joulani met with the commanders of Jaysh Al-Ghouta in an undisclosed location in the Idlib Governorate.

Joulani allegedly asked the commanders of Jaysh Al-Ghouta to join forces with Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham, as they were previously loyal to Jabhat Al-Nusra in east Damascus.

Jaysh Al-Ghouta was a jihadist group that was previously active in the East Ghouta region; specifically, the Harasta suburb.

These jihadists gave up their positions in Harasta after an agreement was made to evacuate their fighters to the Idlib Governorate.
