Syrian military seizes large cache of US-made weapons in southern Damascus (video)
BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:00 P.M.) - The Syrian military seized a large quantity of weapons in southern Damascus this weekend, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said on Sunday.
According to the SANA report, the Syrian military was combing through the farms in the town of Yalda, when they uncovered a large cache of weapons left behind by the rebel forces.
The Syrian military reportedly uncovered a large quantity of machine gun ammunition, AK-47 clips, grenades, Dragunovs, NATO-made sniper rifles, IEDs and improvised grenades, LAW rocket launchers, thermal and night vision equipment, and DShk tripods.
The report added that a large quantity of US-made weapons were found in this stockpile.
