BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 P.M.) - The Syrian government has restored approximately 122 kilometers of railway along the Damascus-Homs Trail, a new report from the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said on Saturday. According to SANA, the Syrian government is now preparing to reopen this important railway after closing it during the peak years of violence in Syria. This railway is important to the government because it allows them to transport heavy freight between the two governorates.

Turkish Army attacks Kurdish forces in eastern Aleppo

According to reports from the Aleppo countryside, the Turkish Army and their rebel allies launched several artillery shells and rockets towards the positions of the Al-Bab Military Council, hitting a number of sites inside the town of Al-Baghouz Al-Shaqiya. Over 3,500 Russian soldiers take part in military drills

OPCW's final report says chlorine gas was used in Douma

The Fact-Finding Mission (FFM) of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) issued a final report on Friday, coming to a conclusion that chlorine was used during the April 2018 attack in Syria’s Douma. "The evaluation and analysis of all the above-referenced information gathered by the FFM provide reasonable grounds that the use of a toxic chemical as a weapon has taken place on 7 April 2018.
