Israeli Snipers Kill and Injure Women's Day Demonstrators in Gaza

DAMASCUS, SYRIA- Israeli snipers have injured over 100 Palestinians and killed a young man, at Gaza's 'Women's Day' marches. According to a statement delivered by the Spokesman for the Gaza Health Ministry, Ashraf Al-Qedra, 42 Palestinian demonstrators were shot and today with live ammunition by Israeli snipers. A 23 year old peaceful demonstrator, named Tamer Arafat, was also shot with live ammunition killing him in Eastern Rafah (Southern Gaza. At least one killed, 42 injured in 'March of Return' border protests (video)

Israeli border forces opened fire and shot teargas at protesters killing at least one Palestinian and injuring 42 more at the Israel-Gaza border, according to Gaza Health Ministry, on Friday. Footage filmed near Shajaiya shows protesters hurling rocks and teargas canisters at Israeli forces which also responded with teargas and reportedly live bullets. Several injured were seen being carried away by emergency services. The Great March of Return, launched in late March 2018, forms a series of protests along the Israeli-Palestinian border to demand the right for Palestinians to return to their families' pre-1948 homes.  ... SDF gives ISIS ultimatum: surrender by noon or prepare for battle

BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:10 P.M.) - The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have given the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) an ultimatum this weekend that requires them to surrender their last positions in the eastern region of the Euphrates River Valley. According to a report from the Deir Ezor Governorate, the SDF demanded that ISIS either surrender themselves by noon on Saturday or else they will resume their operation to capture the Baghouz Camp. The report added that the Islamic State has yet to respond to the ultimatum from the Syrian Democratic Forces. Currently, the Islamic State is confined to approximately 700 square meters... FSA commander assassinated in southern Idlib

BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:45 P.M.) - A Free Syrian Army (FSA) military commander was assassinated this week after a group of unknown assailants detonated their explosives under the former's vehicle. According to opposition activists via social media, the field commander of the Free Syrian Army Amin Hajj 'Ali was killed on Thursday when a car bomb was detonated inside his vehicle in the town of Kansafra. The reports said the car bomb was detonated while the Free Syrian Army commander was filling up gas at a local station in Kansafra. No group has claimed responsibility for this assassination.

New CCTV footage captures heavy Syrian airstrikes over jihadist stronghold

BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:10 P.M.) - The Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) carried out several airstrikes over the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate last night. Led by their northern air fleet, the Syrian Air Force heavily bombarded the jihadist strongholds of Khan Al-Sabil and Khan Sheikhoun in southern Idlib. CCTV footage captured the moment the Syrian Air Force began bombarding Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham's positions in the large town of Khan Sheikhoun:

In addition to the airstrikes over Khan Sheikhoun and Khan Al-Sabil, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) heavily shells the towns around the Turkish border with western Idlib.

Russia joins Turkish naval drills in the Black Sea

The Russian Black Sea Fleet held joint drills with the Turkish Navy whose naval group completed its business call at the port of Novorossiysk, the Fleet’s press office reported on Friday. "During the drills, the patrol ship Vasily Bykov, the sea-going minesweeper Valentin Pikul of the Novorossiysk naval base held joint Russian-Turkish drills with the foreign corvette Burgazada and the minesweeper Akcay," the press office said in a statement. Russia and Turkey begin patrols inside demilitarized zone in northern Syria

Turkish and Russian servicemen began on Friday patrolling the Idlib de-escalation zone in northwest Syria, Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar said. "Today, Russia will begin patrols in the border area outside of Idlib while Turkish Armed Forces patrols will start in the demilitarized zone," Akar said to the Anadolu news agency. Akar said any Turkish contacts with the Syrian government were "out of the question." New Russian icebreaker docks for nuclear fuel loading (video)

New Russian icebreaker 'Arctic' 22220 was docked at St Petersburg shipyard on Thursday for further nuclear fuel loading. The process of storing nuclear fuel could take place as early as May. Once in service later this year, Artika will be the largest and most powerful icebreaker ever constructed. Two ships of the same class - Sibir and Ural - will follow suit in 2020 and 2021. Syrian military on high alert near Idlib as jihadists threaten new attacks

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is currently on high alert in northwestern Syria as recent threats from the jihadist rebels have forced them to take precautionary measures to prevent any potential ambushes. US preparing to deliver humanitarian aid to Venezuela (video)

Pakistan's JF-17 fighter jet remains undefeated after dogfight with Indian Air Force
