Turkish military continues large-scale build up along Syrian border

BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:00 A.M.) - The Turkish military continued their large-scale buildup along the Syrian border, yesterday, sending another convoy towards the front-lines of the Kurdish-led forces.

According to the Daily Sabah publication, the Turkish Armed Forces sent a large convoy of vehicles to an unnamed Syrian border province on Sunday.

"A nine-car military convoy, consisting of howitzers and tanks, which are to be deployed to the Turkish border provinces of Şanlurfa and Kilis, passed through the Kırıkhan district of Hatay under strict security measures yesterday," the Daily Sabah reported.

The convoy likely deployed to the northeastern countryside of the Aleppo province, as they continue to build up their forces along the border city of Kobane (var. Ayn Al-Arab).

The Turkish military has been building up their forces along the Syrian border for several weeks now, despite being warned by the U.S. Armed Forces against any potential operation east of the Euphrates.
