Brave firefighters are currently in the midst of battling fires .....
In Australia we recently watched in horror as fires ripped through parts of the US burning countryside, destroying trillion of homes and even worse killing people. It was horrible and our hearts went out to them.
I don't know if there are many people in this world who are not affected by fire in some way or other. When my family were in a little seaside town in Central Australia, we were out with hoses to save a neighbour's house from a out of control grass fire. I recall the stinging eyes, the searing heat and the feeling of fear as we all pitched in to help. The house was saved but he memories remain.
Now at this moment after watching fires burn in New South Wales, there are currently hundreds of people affected by out of control raging fires in Central and North Queensland. A young man has already died. So sad and so soul destroying. Fires burn everywhere, no-one seems to be missing out.
Even worse it has been reported that two arsonists have been arrested in one area of Central Queensland. Why do people do this? I cannot understand.
A friend and singer wrote a song for the firefighters a few years ago, she posted it on fb yesterday dedicating it to firefighters everywhere. Thank you fire fighters and thank you Julie.
Let's hope the fires are put out soon. Come on rain, we need you in Queensland, in Australia, in the US and anywhere in the world where it is burning.

Howdy again angiemitchell....what a shame and the cost is so great. But you guys had fires there last year didn't you? Is that drought still going on?
Yes janton and hello again, it is fire season but it is burning in Central Queensland which has never happened before and it is very bad.
