Countries control their people

There is an interesting article at ZDnet about Russia disconnected the country from the internet.

Please have a read at ZDnet

Secure the country

Seems to be a good idea to be able to cut off the internet if there are any bad people are trying to hack your country.

Control informations

The article says:

...Russian internet providers should ensure the independence of the Russian internet space (Runet) in the case of foreign aggression to disconnect the country from the rest of the internet.

A bit further you read:

In addition, Russian telecom firms would also have to install "technical means" to re-route all Russian internet traffic to exchange points approved or managed by Roskomnazor, Russia's telecom watchdog.

Roskomnazor will inspect the traffic to block prohibited content and make sure traffic between Russian users stays inside the country, and is not re-routed uselessly through servers abroad, where it could be intercepted.

For me this means censorship!

In what a stupid world do we live?

How long do we like to have government in control about information?

Damn, need to have two beer this evening to get rid of this bad vibes.

Have a great day

Maybe have 3 beers and it will feel better. Definitely control and censorship. Looks like the Great Firewall of China.

A lot of wine was the help last evening.

But still not a better feeling with censorship
