In the Name of Peace: US Pres Trump and North Korean Leader Kim

For so long a time, the United States and North Korea had their war of words way back in the time of Kim II-Sun, the late father of Kim Jong-il who is the current leader of the North. Their change of words put the world into uncertainty since both countries have their own nuclear weapon plus their allies who were ready to support whenever needed. It will surely melt the entire planet whenever there is war with nuclear weapon.

But recently, there is a sudden turn of events wherein both countries met in the name of peace. President Donald Trump may be hated by others but in this scenario, we saw him as a strong man who is the only US president met with North Korean leader and came into terms and one of the promise of Kim is to dismantle their nuclear arsenal. North Korean Leader previously portrayed as a barbaric dictator in his land and a threat to nuclear war was now seen as a political hero in the North.

Nearly five hours of unprecedented and surreal talks between US President Donald Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong Un culminated on Tuesday with fulsome declarations of a new friendship but just vague pledges of nuclear disarmament.

For Trump, that amounted to a triumphant outcome in his extraordinary gamble with the rogue kingdom's despotic leader. But there were scant details on what new commitments had been secured from Kim, even as Trump announced he would end the regular military exercises the US conducts with South Korea.

If the peaceful talks will continue and the ties of both countries will be sealed-up then this will be a win-win situation for both leaders and will be written down in world history. This is one of the important legacies of President Trump after he steps down in his office for the next couple of years, and of course, the Korean Leader Kim will be remembered as he broke the grudge between the US and North Korea with a friendly handshake.
