Idlib Terrorists Injure Dozens of Civilians in Chemical Attack on Aleppo Using Chlorine-filled Shells, Prepare to Stage More Chemical Attacks as Idlib Ceasefire Crumbles

A New Alleged Chemical Attack

On November 24, in a new alleged chemical attack, Hayat Tahir al-Sham (HTS) positions in the southeastern part of the Idlib demilitarized zone near the village of Al-Buraykat shelled the neighborhoods of Al-Khalidiye and Al Zahraa, as well as Nile Street in Aleppo city on Saturday evening using homemade shells filled with poisonous gas thought to be chlorine, injuring 107 civilians according to Syria's SANA.

“It feels like something is burning inside and my eyes are hurting,” the boy pictured above, identified only as Hamza told a film crew documenting the aftermath of the attack.

By Sunday morning, at least 73 residents of Aleppo neighborhoods had been treated for symptoms of toxic gas poisoning, Syrian media reported, while the Russian MOD had previously said 46 civilians including 8 children were hospitalized, and Aleppo's health department head Ziad Haj Taha reported that 50 people were taken to two Aleppo hospitals after the shelling, adding that the number of injured was likely to rise. Doctors said patients being treated exhibited symptoms of chemical poisoning, presumably chlorine, and noted that a strong chemical stench had filled the hospital.

Doctors told RT that the hospital has been filled with a distinct chemical smell. Patients “see very badly and have big difficulties breathing,” a doctor said. - RT

SANA released a video of the victims being treated in Aleppo hospital(s) Saturday night, November 24:

“We can not know the kinds of gases but we suspected chlorine and treated patients on this basis because of the symptoms,” Zaher Batal, the head of the Aleppo Doctors Syndicate, told Reuters.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitoring group with a clear bias towards the 'opposition' even confirmed that the terrorist shelling of Aleppo had wounded at least 94 people, while it also said that Syrian government shelling on Saturday had killed 9 people in Idlib.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, from MOD spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov:

"The primary analysis of fragments of the shells indicates that the terrorists used hand-made 120-mm mines, which were filled with poisonous substances in an improvised manner," the official told reporters. - Sputnik News

"From preliminary data, in particular the confirmed symptoms displayed by those affected, the munitions used in the shelling were filled with chlorine," Konashenkov said.

"It is clear that the White Helmets are directly connected with terrorist organizations operating in Syria, and in particular, in the Idlib de-escalation zone," he said. - Sputnik News

The Syrian Foreign Ministry said this terrorist attack on Aleppo was facilitated by the foreign "states which sponsor terrorism," in a statement sent to the UN Security Council and Secretary General.

“This terrorist act comes as a result of facilitating terrorists’ access to chemical substances by some states with the aim of using them against the Syrian people and accusing the Syrian Government of that through plays whose scenario had been previously prepared at the black rooms of the intelligence of some states which sponsor terrorism,” the statement said. - SouthFront

Additionally, Russian experts used "gas analyzers" to confirm chemical contamination of the shelled areas in Aleppo, and also took soil and other physical samples "in order to establish the composition of the toxic substance used by the militants in the attack," a spokesman for Russia's Chemical Protection Force, CBRNPF, said.

Further, the Russian MOD confirmed that after intelligence services identified the "fire weapons" responsible for the shelling, Russian jets had carried out airstrikes Saturday night which destroyed all the terrorist targets, adding that the intelligence services had also found that the terrorists were planning to carry out another chemical attack.

This comes just days after sources close to the terrorist leaders in Idlib told Sputnik's Arabic channel that foreign military experts who were black Frenchmen working for HTS had arrived in Idlib city to modify a number of missiles of an unknown type to carry chlorine payloads. Last Wednesday White Helmets members transferred 5 containers of toxic chemicals from an HTS warehouse to a recently dug warehouse under the Idlib Central Prison, where they were handed over to the French experts for this purpose, who the sources also say arrived in Idlib with launch bases for the missiles.

Then on Sunday morning at dawn, immediately following the shelling on Aleppo the evening before, HTS terrorists transported about 50 of the chemical-loaded missiles from the newly dug underground warehouse in Idlib city to several other terrorist groups, deploying them throughout the so-called de-militarized zone, according to the local sources speaking to Sputnik's Arabic channel.

The sources said the missiles were transported in five batches and distributed among terror groups in Idleb’s southeastern countryside; 10 missiles were sent to “Ajnad al-Kavkaz” terror group in Tal al-Sultan area, 10 were sent to “Jaish al-Izza” terror group in Kafrzita town 38 km northwest of Hama city, 10 were sent to “Huras al-Deen” terror group which swore allegiance to Al Qaida in the town of Morek 30 km north of Hama, in addition to two other batches sent to the “Turkistani Party” terrorists and other unknown destinations. - SANA

This deployment of the newly chemical-armed missiles throughout Idlib province follows recent media reports which indicated that HTS and the White Helmets were preparing to stage a new chemical attack scenario to frame the Syrian army and justify western intervention, and that they were "determined to establish a network of chemical materials caches in the demilitarized zone" for this purpose - "to maintain their logistical readiness to quickly carry out provocations using chemicals when needed" whenever a new front is opened by the SAA. With the ceasefire having completely crumbled in the days following the attack on Aleppo, and the Jihadists not letting up on their attacks, a new larger-scale offensive is likely to be launched any day.

Not even a month earlier, the Russian MOD in late October announced that locals had been informing the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria of recent preparations by the White Helmets to stage a variety of chemical provocations in several different areas. On November 6 the Russian Ambassador likewise warned that terrorists working with the White Helmets were "still preparing for large-scale provocations through using toxic substances to accuse the Syrian army and to provide pretexts for launching new aggression on Syria," and said Russia had obtained information that the White Helmets helped transport 20 containers of liquid chlorine and canisters containing toxic substances to areas in the Aleppo countryside.

Sources in Idlib close to the White Helmets and HTS leaders have for months been leaking detailed information on the plans and preparation by HTS and its allies to stage false flag chemical attacks, as well as the movement of poisonous chemicals by these terrorist groups - primarily HTS, the White Helmets, Turkistani Islamic Party and Jaish al-Izza. In September they had been preparing to stage a chemical scenario but those plans were put on hold when the Russian-Turkish negotiated ceasefire was implemented and the large-scale Syrian offensive was temporarily halted.

Early in the month as these groups began renewing preparations to stage new attacks and sources once again began leaking information on the White Helmet plans, HTS and Jaish al-Izza announced they had formed an investigative committee to find the source of the leaked intelligence. The groups said members of HTS, Jaish al-Izza and the White Helmets would be questioned in order to find the source of the leaks. However the sources continue to leak detailed information regarding the movement of HTS chemical weapons and its preparations with the White Helmets to stage chemical attack scenarios for propaganda purposes.

There doesn't seem to be a clear propaganda purpose for this attack, however, with western media neither jumping to blame Assad nor relentlessly calling for airstrikes on the terrorist stronghold, but rather staying surprisingly quiet.

It is likely this chemical attack on Aleppo was not a planned false flag per-se, but was rather intended to provoke the SAA to launch a new offensive front, at which time the terrorists could then use the newly deployed chemical-armed missiles to stage a chemical attack scenario within the so-called de-militarized zone in the area of the offensive to be blamed on 'the regime'.

Even despite the lack of a clear propaganda purpose, but as was to be expected, the Jihadist militants immediately denied the claims they had used poisonous chemicals and are instead attempting to blame 'evil Assad' and the Syrian forces for the attack.

‘Moderate Rebels’ Find Assad Guilty In Chemical Attack On Aleppo:

Reuters cited a Nour al de Zinki leader as saying the claims are "purely a lie," but failed to mention the terrorist group was responsible for beheading a 12-year-old Palestinian boy, Abdulla Issa, on camera in 2015 in front of a White Helmets center.

Taking the absurdity even further, at least 1 prominent 'opposition' leader even accused Iran of being behind the chemical attack on Aleppo to sabotage the de-escalation ceasefire agreement!

Iran’s militias were behind the chemical attack targeting Aleppo, and they seek to abort the Sochi deal in Idlib, the head of the High Negotiations Committee, Naser al-Hariri, told al-Hadath news channel.

The High Negotiations Committee is an umbrella body which was created to represent the Syrian opposition in the planned Geneva peace talks in 2016. - Al Arabiya

This ridiculous idea that Iran would stage an attack on its own ally as a pretext for aborting the Sochi deal ceasefire agreement which the 'opposition' has already been repeatedly violating for weeks in a blatant attempt to sabotage it and provoke war with the Syrian alliance, is nonetheless right in line with the standard western propaganda line of late - that Iran is behind every problem in the Middle East - and this propaganda campaign is being carried out because Iran is the current target in the center of the Empire's cross-hairs.

The Western Terrorist Supporters and Their Propaganda

The reality of the situation in Idlib is that a number of the armed 'opposition' groups, particularly HTS, never recognized or adhered to the ceasefire from the very beginning of the agreement, and have in fact been intentionally escalating the situation over the past several weeks with the attacks both increasing in frequency and intensity.

The terrorists and their western supporters and sympathizers ignore this reality and rather attempt to paint the picture that when the SAA responds to these attacks on its positions by shelling militant targets in Idlib, or when the Russian air-force responds to a terrorist attack on civilian neighborhoods in Aleppo by targeting the terrorist launch sites, that it is Syria and Russia 'violating the ceasefire' and 'committing war crimes' by 'intentionally targeting civilians.'

The Syria Campaign denounced the SAA shelling of Jarjanaz town which allegedly killed 9 civilians including 7 children on Saturday, saying "This is the brutality of a regime that targets residential areas and children," but no mention of the 'brutality' of the US 'regime' that regularly 'targets residential areas and children' in Deirr Ezzor over the past few months, killing hundreds of civilians and destroying dozens of civilian homes.

Ken Roth accused Syrian President Bashar al-Assad of "talking peace while slaughtering civilians," with no mention of or concern for the civilians injured and Syrian soldiers killed in the frequent terrorist attacks, calling on Moscow and Damascus to "maintain the ceasefire," while ignoring the fact it has consistently been the 'opposition' violating the ceasefire and not the other way around as he portrays it. Further, Mr. Roth said the "focus should first be on stopping the slaughter," referring of course to Russian and Syrian attacks, but no calls to stop the US slaughter in Deirr Ezzor, and no mention of the recent US attack on al-Shaafah in the Euphrates Valley on November 25 which massacred 14 civilians from a single family, including 6 children.

Maybe Ken Roth is unaware that it is impossible to maintain a ceasefire which your enemy refuses to adhere to! Maybe he is also unaware that President Assad receives the overwhelming support of the Syrian people who absolutely love him, over 80% of whom chose to elect him in democratic elections. Or maybe Ken Roth is intentionally deceiving his audience. Why doesn't Mr. Roth also call on the 'opposition' to maintain the ceasefire, as these are the major parties in violation?

Do these people standing behind the terrorists honestly expect Syria and Russia will just sit back as radical Jihadists operating out of Idlib continue to repeatedly attack Syrian targets, both military and civilian, killing and wounding soldiers and civilians alike?

US Representative for Illinois Adam Kinzinger straight up accused Russia of violating the ceasefire, presumably for its airstrikes Saturday night targeting the source of the terrorist attack on Aleppo city which injured over 70 civilians, and said "The US must demand accountability for these war crimes," completely ignoring the blatant US war crimes in Deir Ezzor which includes repeated chemical attacks on Hajin with internationally-banned white phosphorous bombs.

It is extremely nonsensical for these western puppets to call on the US to denounce Russian and Syrian 'war crimes' when the US is easily the largest war criminal regime operating in the region. Oh the hypocrisy of western war propaganda...

Conclusion: The Stage is Set for Another White Helmets False Flag

If the goal of this attack on Aleppo was to further provoke a new Syrian army offensive against the terrorist stronghold, in order to create the desirable conditions to stage a false flag chemical attack in the area of the Syrian military advance which would be blamed on the advancing SAA forces, then it likely succeeded. There are already "reports of an impending SAA offensive", and a large Turkish military convoy was sent to Idlib accordingly. The ceasefire has already broken down with ongoing battles between Jihadist militants and the SAA continuing to intensify, and intense clashes within the 'de-militarized' buffer zone persisted throughout the day on Wednesday.

If the Syrian alliance launches a large-scale offensive against Idlib and this false flag scenario were to play out, it is still unlikely it would succeed in stopping the ultimate defeat of the last remaining estimated 20,000+ radical Jihadi terrorists in Syria's Idlib. Such false flag attacks in the past didn't stop the defeat of the terrorists in those areas in spite of the western military responses they garnered then, and Syria is only stronger now, and also better protected from both US cruise missile attacks and Israeli airstrikes with the Russian-provided S-300 air defense system.
