Russia gave advice to Venezuela on the way out of the economic crisis

The bell reported that economists from the Russian government have made a plan for the withdrawal of the Venezuelan economy from the crisis.

To that end, Venezuela has proposed five basic steps. For starters prompted to enter the household of unconditional basic income, and also to stop printing money, stop the funding of the budget deficit due to the issue.

It is also recommended to carry out tax reform and, by analogy with Russia, to increase indirect taxes and reduce direct taxes. Also, the country needs to increase oil production and diversify exports as much as possible. Russian experts appreciated Venezuela's attempts to solve the problems with the help of the national crypto currency Petro, but nevertheless are not yet ready to use it in mutual settlements.

The proposed measures are given to the country as recommendations. Inflation in the country in 2018 amounted to almost 1.7 million percent-prices rose by almost 17 thousand times. The other day, in order to stabilize the economy and strengthen the current tax regime, the Venezuelan government obliged persons engaged in operations with digital assets to pay taxes only in cryptocurrency.

Last November, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. At the meeting, the crypto currency Petro was also discussed. Then in Caracas was visited by a Russian delegation headed by Russian Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak.

Recall, the launch of Petro took place on October 1, 2018. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is trying hard to promote the use of Petro, arguing that the national cryptocurrency will help the country to get out of the economic crisis. He recently announced that since 2019 Venezuelan oil will be sold only for Petro. Also recently, pensions of the country's residents have been transferred to the national cryptocurrency.

Также в стране необходимо увеличить добычу нефти и максимально диверсифицировать экспорт. Российские эксперты оценили положительно попытки Венесуэлы разрешить проблемы с помощью национальной криптовалюты Petro, но тем не менее пока не готовы использовать ее во взаиморасчетах.

Предложенные меры даны стране в качестве рекомендаций. Инфляция в стране за 2018 год составила почти 1,7 млн процентов - цены выросли почти в 17 тысяч раз. На днях в целях стабилизации экономики и укрепления действующего налогового режима правительство Венесуэлы обязало лиц, занимающихся операциями с цифровыми активами, платить налоги только в криптовалюте.

В ноябре прошлого года президент Венесуэлы Николас Мадуро встречался в Москве с президентом РФ Владимиром Путиным. На встрече обсуждалась и криптовалюта Petro. Затем в Каракасе побывала российская делегация под руководством замминистра финансов РФ Сергея Сторчака.

Напомню, запуск Petro состоялся 1 октября 2018 года. Президент Венесуэлы Николас Мадуро всеми силами старается продвинуть использование Petro, утверждая, что национальная криптовалюта поможет стране выйти из экономического кризиса. Недавно он объявил, что с 2019 года нефть Венесуэлы будет продаваться только за Petro. Также недавно в национальную криптовалюту начали переводить пенсии жителей страны.
