Twenty-Seven Villages Immersed in Floods in Bireuen.

Twenty-seven villages from five sub-districts in Bireuen District were flooded on Thursday, 6/12/2018.

Floods are caused by heavy rains that hit the area from 14 to 23.30. Sir. Heavy rains also caused river water and irrigation channels to overflow so that they entered the residential area.

According to data obtained through the Chairman of the Bireuen District Disaster Preparedness Coordinator Adun Tagana, the overflow floods entered residents' settlements because the rain did not stop, the overflowing river water also inundated people's homes.

There are twenty-seven villages affected by floods from overflowing rivers or irrigation channels. The twenty-seven villages cover five sub-districts in Bireuen. The sub-districts affected by floods are Juang City, Peudada, Peulimbang, Jeunieb and Jeumpa.

Zulfikar also added that the floods which soaked the homes of more than one meter. Some family heads were forced to flee. It has distributed panic assistance for flood victims, there have been no fatalities in this incident.
