I think it’s a great news for e-commerce market in south Asia because Alibaba has lengthened its e-commerce territory into South Asia for that reason they acquired Daraz groups.
E-commerce Company Daraz Group bought China's e-commerce firm Aliababa and Daraz will now be run under Alibaba. Daraz started their program in 2012. Presently, they are doing business in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
Darraz's senior executive officer said that the agreement has made Daraz in place in the Alibaba family. "We are ready to empower the entrepreneurs of this region by joining hands with Alibaba," said another executive officer of Darraz.
China’s biggest e-commerce company has been making a handsome investment in the south Asia. More recently, the financial services giant was in the news for buying a 20 per cent stake in Bangladeshi mobile financial services provider bKash.
