Sadistic, Hundreds of Crocodiles Massacred in Papua

in #news6 years ago

Bad news came from West Papua, one of the provinces in the Irian Island, Eastern Indonesia, Saturday, July 14, 2018. Imagine, the people there blindly massacred hundreds of crocodiles after the previous day one of the residents there died from being bitten by a crocodile.

The incident took place at Airport Road SP 1, Klamalu Village, Aimas Sub-District, Sorong District, West Papua Province. Residents claim to be furious with the presence of reptiles of predators that are there.

In fact, the crocodiles are not wild crocodiles but the crocodiles that are in the breeding location belongs to one of the citizens who mentioned coming from Medan, North Sumatra. Animal breeding that is protected by law, has an obligation to have a breeding permit.

"Animals like this do not deserve to be kept in public and open places like this," people said.

"Here a lot of people who farm and have livestock," continued the other people.

Indeed, from my point of view, the actions taken by citizens triggered by the resentment of the families of the victims killed by crocodiles, can not be blamed entirely even though the act is considered inhuman and implacable.

Imagine, there is one human life that floats because of being bitten by a crocodile, but whether it is worthy of other crocodiles who become victims. Not only adult crocodiles are slaughtered, from photographs and video footage that circulate on some social media pages, small crocodiles (baby crocodiles) is also not escaped the target of the outrage of anger and resentment of citizens who have peaked.

All crocodiles are removed from the breeding location, beaten on the head using wood, stone and other blunt objects. The fateful crocodiles were then stacked and became the spectacle of all the citizens who were there.

It is true the saying goes, thanks to the speck of indigo broken milk sebelanga. Just because one crocodile bites a citizen, hundreds of other crocodiles have to share the sin.

I am not looking for faults or blaming anyone. Hopefully there are events and wisdom that we can take from this incident.

INDONESIA

Memang benar kata pepatah, gara-gara nila setitik rusak susu sebelanga.
