On the first day of Bengali month, the meaning of Paola Baishakh or Pahela Boishakh! And We Known As Bangla New Year!
In Bangladesh and West Bengal of India, this day is celebrated with special festivals as New Year. This day is the day of the anniversary of the traditional Bengali people. This day is organized in Baishakhi Mela. There are various types of cottage manufacturing products, there are several banana pools organized.
In many places there is the arrangement for eating rice paddy with Hilsa fish. On this day, people in the village wake up early in the morning, go after new clothes and go to relatives and friends.
The Bengali New Year's traditional greeting is "Happy New Year"

This festival is celebrated according to the Gregorian calendar on 14th April every year of Bangladesh. The day is also accepted as the official holiday of Bangladesh and West Bengal. Businessmen of different stages enjoy the day as the occasion to start a new business.

This day is celebrated on the day-by-day. In 2016, UNESCO announced this festival procession, organized by Dhaka University, as "invaluable cultural heritage of humanity".
