Nextcolony and Dachcolony economy

Last month I decided to buy into @nextcolony by participating into the @dachcolony pool for a legendary planet in what promised to be a nice addition to the game offer on Steem.

This is an initiative that has been running in the german community but is open to everyone as our lone Englishman @revisesociology will attest. So I will attempt to shed some light on what we are doing here and if you want to participate by owning some DACH or you need some Ships delivered you can get some UE or even earn UE by delivering goods to our main planets

So I ponied up 500 Steem and through some roundabout way Dachcolony came into possession of the legendary planet Tartaros. @theaustrianguy was in possession of 2 legendary planets and sold on to our clan for which we are still very thankful.

So far so good, the game was launched and in the beginning stages there was just the building up on all player planets and getting everything ready and levelled up for exploration and transport ships.
This can be done for free and will take a bit longer or you can boost the production (not the time) by buying chests of raw materials.

@germansailor who is running the planet account in the name of all participants is doing an amazing job there and we are actually developing a small economy. The question might be if we should start calling ourselves shareholders?

Dach coins

After the initial investment we set up a new coin on Steem-engine and distributed them to all who participated and even made a second round to generate some extra revenue. So there are 10000 DACH coins in circulation and there will never be more. Since the revenue that will be made in Steem comes from legendary planets and the wonders that will be built on them it stands to reason that owning part of this planet will pay out future dividends and as such does not seem to be a bad investment. They are traded on the open markets on Steem engine.

Uranium Equivalent

After that there was another coin created which we call UE or the Uranium Equivalent.
UE was distributed in accordance to the shares owned in the Dachcolony and hence I ended up with 50000 UE. This currency can now be obtained by delivering goods to Tartaros or Ares and can be spent by buying goods or ships from the same or from others that are willing to accept the coin as payment which most in the Dachcolony list above will.

UE price setting

To set a bit of a baseline for the trading in UE we have taken the prices from the imperial chests in the shop and this results in these prices.
Uranium 2,25 STEEM for 100 units
Copper 1,13 STEEM for 100 units
Ore 0,56 STEEM for 100 units
Coal 0,28 STEEM for 100 units

Derived from that we added a value for the UE
1 UE = 1 Uranium
1 UE = 2 Copper
1 UE = 4 Ore
1 UE = 8 Coal

So as an example I want to take a purchase I have just made from Tartarus

I sent them 586 UE for an explorer since it will be a while to get to lvl 20 on my own account.
540 for the ship and 46 for the transport cost
A transporter ship will cost you 600 UE and transport
I made this purchase partly just to test this out and also to get a bit more to do and start exploring my corner of the galaxy.

So my bought explorer will arrive in 2 days on my planet and is cruising at max warp towards Felandria as I have renamed my own planet. I hope that this whole thing will turn into lively trades and a whole alternative economy.
