June 12 (The MKO Abiola Story)
Hello great minds of the royal steemit dynasty. I bring greetings to you all from my beautiful nation Nigeria.
Nigeria is the most populous black nation on earth, the political arena right now as I write this is serious filled with the MKO stories across it length and breath.

MKO Abiola
For those who do not know MKO Abiola he is the supposedly President elect of the 1993 general election and considered to be the most free and fair election in the history of Nigeria but was cut short by the tyrant military government of General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida after which he was jailed for unceremoniously declaring himself the president of the federal republic. He was charged for treason.

The unfortunate incident of this led to the popular date called June 12. Just few days ago the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari delared June 12 as the new date for Democracy Day. And also awarding MKO Abiola of GCFR.

For me as an individual I have a little challenge which I feel should be critically looked into. The President was the one who obstructed Democracy during the Shehu Shagari regime and took over power into military dictatorship and now a president who has suddenly declares this day. My question is what is His reason for this act? Is it for his second tenure? Or to win the heart and Votes of the west?
Well the answer is yours to give..

Well, Nigeria is turning to what i could not understand.....only him knows the reason for that act of his.....declaring June 12 democracy day... Cannot change anything about him....
