The government in every country differs. I have to admit there is no perfect government. As much as we admire many countries, there are still some things that citizens of that country clamor for, and a considerable level of change they desire.

Some governments have different standards. They simply enforce different laws when it comes to those in power and the big guns, while there seem to be another set of laws for the other citizens.

They find ways to absolve themselves of accusations and they look for ways to justify their actions, but once people from the “other” category does anything, which is less in comparison to what they did, they enforce “judgment”. To me, it seems there are personal laws and general laws. Everyone does what’s best in their own eyes. It is so disheartening and to make it worse, it is almost everywhere.

Leadership is about character. There will always be a bad sheep in any section, but the strength of the leader is known by the decisions he makes.

The endless desire for power is there too. The endless tussle for power. They leave a post only to go to another aspect of government. Most of our leaders are seeking relevance that is why they keep changing from one arm of government just to remain in power and yet they keep telling us The future is for the youth.

We are the government. Most of our leaders don’t understand what service means. We elect them there to serve us, yet they feel they are the one doing us favours. Everyone looks for laws that suit them and they follow blindly. We have resulted in being our own government.

We are the change we desire to see. We are the ones that can correct our country’s ills from the grassroots because what we have developed as a culture now is what we will grow with. When we eventually find ourselves in leadership positions tomorrow, the cycles will continue again based on the culture and mentality we have built over the years.

Be the change you want to see, and spread it in your area of influence. I know how hard it is to be the only one doing the right thing and being surrounded with those who are determined to make you think you are insane. Still, this is about your own character. You never know when it will be needed later on.

Happy “June 12” to every Nigerian. I still don't know if it is about celebration anyway.

In an explicit manner, the leader is a figure who is highly expected, a portrait of culture that get together in various institutional, be it government institutions, companies, and educational institutions photographed that many subordinates who carry out their duties and functions well if there is a leader but if the leader is not there is then the subordinate action does not care about the task and job functions.

As a leader is essentially a person who has the ability to influence the behavior of others in his work with the use of power. Power is the ability to direct and influence subordinates in connection with the tasks that must be implemented. The power possessed is manifested by the standard rules that can and can protect all the elements below.

In the world of hoe farming is often used by a farmer in the work, hoe is a weapon that must be owned by a farmer when going to the fields and used to attract land. In a leadership perspective, philosophically, the leader of the "hoe" is a leader who often uses the power it has to profit as much as possible for personal use, a leader of such character is no wonder if he makes that power for personal gain as well as relatives .

The crowbar is a tool made of metal rods that both ends are flattened and commonly used to dig the soil by means of the crowbar tip at the top down so that the ground can be pierced. In the correlation with leadership is, a leader or leader who uses "crowbar" in managerial leadership philosophically the figure of leaders who always blame the bottom and continue to make under it is the object of failure in the lead organization, the type of leader who uses his power with "crowbar" tends to never pay attention to the positive action underneath, how much positive things undertaken underneath it is lost if one error in doing.

Shovel is a tool commonly used by sand workers to lift sand and throw in sand trucks, shovel philosophically can be translated by giving often because technically people who use the scope is always throwing a pile of material that is in front of him to be shared to others, in relation to leadership is, a leader who always uses the philosophy of "shovel" is a leader who is able to provide ideas of thought, the material he has for the progress of the organization he leads, the figure leaders often use the material and patterns piker deployed entirely for organizational progress in his dream. Leaders of "shovel" are more nurturing and provide thought-provoking discussions for organizational progress.

So true. Leaders also need to surround themselves with credible people, who will have the same vision and focus as them, if they don't want their efforts to be in futility. What a beautiful comment.

Thanks a lot.

Government By Everyone,

Going by this title, it reminds me of definition of democracy to a layman I could say, I can even say we are all Layman when it comes to governance since there isn't perfect human being to rule. Democracy; government of the people by the and for the people. This hasn't been realized In the history of democracy as few always wield power and think of making more green pasture in their ways without considering other, most especially the masses that voted them in power, what they do is changing of positions as if it is there father 's yard they are tilling, ever since I have grown up in Nigeria I haven't seen new faces in power, I meant in high position, it is these set of people with monopoly mind and attitude of embezzle money and resources meant for the development of the nation, where are we going in Nigeria? I haven't seen reason to believe any changes has occurred. Sometimes when people talk about change, we often stood to cosmetic change, before you change the world have you try to change your attitude and mindset and even your own family, do something meaningful and beneficiary for people to see the type of people you truly are.

Youths are leader of tomorrow, they say
Yes, it is of no lies. But what leader will they become in the future to come, owned by the present leader. For what they learn now,
Become of what they become. To hope for better tomorrow. Our today must be well planned for. Look like we are heading no where, for things at present. Seems to be no or less change, where is the youth brother? What feel their hearts now, isn't it money through a lot of fraudulent activity. Where are we going Nigerians, I never blamed our old puppy who never believe In we (youth) since they don't know what we are capable of doing, whether we are up to task. Though I'm not saying we don't have youth they are ready to ascend to the throne of power.
In future to come.

Today in history of Nigeria marked the greatest injustice ,as a clean and very glaring results was manipulated and nullified without nothing done on it, people wield power as if they won't leave this world one day, the throne will always be left empty for the unborn kids to even occupied so why are we(the so called leaders)taking life as if we live to see thousands years on earth. Together we can make things happen. One nation.

This is deep! So much truth in there. We won't give up. We need to work on ourselves while we are here, because what we have built ourselves with is what will manifest when we find ourselves in leadership positions tomorrow.

Thanks as always brother.

I'm not the omniscient, but I know where you are heading to from the beginning of the post.... Lol

The world has been so corrupt that the majority are the one pulling things down why the minority are trying to lift it up.

Lies are what is reigning in our environment, the one that speak the truth now look like the enemy of progress. What a strange world?

Some of our leaders are good people, but what can 1 do out of one thousand? That's is where the problem is.

But, like you said, if we can change our view of what government is, it will help us all to start showing forth our little light in the darkened world.

No matter how little a light is, it will make impact in the dark. If I have a better understanding and I'm ready to play my role in making my environment a better one, you go ahead and do the same, it won't be long before it get to the top and a better change would flow downwardly.

As a father in the house, how well are you doing when it comes to governing your family, the same thing can be said of mothers and children.

To have the kind of world we desire, we all have an active role to play.

Happy June 12 to all Nigerian.....

Thank you @olawalium and @communitycoin

Yes, it starts from the little stuffs. Thanks a lot brother.

Well, I also believe as you said that there is no countries who have it all. All of them are still looking at the one areas to strengthening.

In a country where, we have problems of leadership. And I think not only me knows that. We are rule by bad, corrupt and selfish set of people. So tell me "I's that the democracy we all yan for ?"

Only the riches are enjoying, but the poor are suffering and when it comes to the election period, this poor soul is the one that vote you. Thinking, may be this one will bring the changes.

Despite its the majority of our leaders are found in this act of selfish interest, there are still some of them who there name can never be forgotten in the history of our country.

We have some who have done really bad for this country and there name can never be forgotten, likewise those that have done excellently too. There name can never be forgotten too.

Today June 12 is a public holiday in Nigeria and that's how we celebrated the day every year. It's about someone's action when he was alive and the whole nation are remembering it till today.

I believe in the future of our country

Happy June 12 to all Nigerians

Thanks for sharing @communitycoin and @olawalium

It is an endless cycle, they type we hope to break free from some day. Thanks a lot brother.

June 12 is a remarkable day in the history of Nigeria. M.K.O Abiola won but they nullified the election under Major General IBB who was the head of state back then and they still killed the poor man.
Decadence is everywhere and it is indeed sad.We should not fold our arms and watch them ruin our country.Every little thing count. We just need to have a voice and i agree it is not easy but do we have any other way?We are the country.
Thank you @communitycoin and @olawalium

Thank you so much for taking us back on history lane. We never know what he would have done, but then, it was his right, he should have been allowed to rule.

Thank you so much sir. Duly appreciated.

From small things--like what to wear in the morning--to things on a much larger scale, like next steps during an acquisition, good leaders are highly skilled at deciding a course of action thanks to the wisdom they draw from their past experiences. The best leaders have come to understand that even though the outcome matters, it is the faith people have in their decisions that matters most. And, they learn over time that if they strongly believe in their decisions, others are more likely to follow.

Brilliant. I enjoyed this.

Every country has its own rules. The culture of one country is the same. One culture is hard to find in another country. And the power of different countries is the same. Some people have a lot of oil, more powerful than others, and somebody's atomic power. Many countries misuse their power to harm other countries. Which is not desirable either. Every leader or leader of every country should be ideal. Then there will be peace in the world.. yesterday trump and kin jom together nuclear anergy agreement, as a result Peace will prevail.

Absolutely. Good one.

excellent post, I love this kind of publications. I think we've all heard the phrase Every town has the government it deserves ..
It is not worthy to send other men who are not better than them. One who does not know how to govern himself, how will he know how to govern others? There is no need for a perfect government; you need one that is practical.

Yes, practical leaders and the ones with foresight too. No government can be perfect. Systems are built to be improved upon. I love your comment. Good one.

I appreciate the fact that June 12 has finally come to be reckoned with the government of Nigeria. What I don't understand is why our government makes everything a political move.

Every government is responsible to its people and listens to their needs. We seem to experience a different predicament in this nation. The government seem to have turned a deaf ear to the cries of the people at all levels.

From the massacre of Christians in North-Central tothe bombings in the North-East and even the high level of unemployment and hunger ravaging the country.

I just hope and pray 2019 is a turning point for this nation.

God bless Nigeria

They always make everything political. I read Buhari made June 12 a democracy day just to spite Obasanjo. Why couldn't they think of this before now? The poor man was only remembered due to political move or agenda. That doesn't do justice to his legacy. They only care about themselves. We can only hope for the best.

Thanks a lot brother. Appreciate your take and input.

It's no more the government of the people but the government of the elite. Only few people runs and controls the resources of a nation.

Exactly. The few controls the larger share, while the majority scramble for the few. They are so greedy, really annoying, but we won't stop believing.

Thanks a lot bro.
