Hatlevikbasaren

På øya Ålforo i Fitjar kommune var fram til 1970- talet eit folketal som gav grunnlag for både skole, butikk og bedehus. Den årlege Hatlevikbasaren var eit av store hendingane i dette vesle øysamfunnet, og overskotet i frå denne basaren gjekk alltid til Den indre sjømannsmisjonen.
Folka som budde der dreiv med fiske og jordbruk. Samfunnsutviklinga førte med seg fråflytting, og i dag er det mest feriefolk som gjestar øya.
På 1984 tok fleire med tilknyting til dette øysamfunnet opp att tradisjonen med den årlege Hatlevikbasaren som vart gjennomført tidleg i juli på Hatlevik. Tilreisande kom frå heile Sunnhordland, frå Bergen og like sør til Stavangerområdet. Det som lokkar mange til Hatlevikbasaren, er sannsynligvis dei mange vakre tinga på den store auksjonen. Mange av desse vakre tinga på auksjonen vert selde høge prisar. Ein stor innsats vert gjort både med å laga til dei vakre tinga som vert selde på auksjonen. Mange personar er involverte med å førebu gratis mat og kaffi til dei mange deltakarene på basaren. Det vert og sett opp gratis transport med snøggbåt frå både Bømlo og Stord. Eit fint sommarvêr var med og laga ei god ramme for den vellukka Hatlevikbasaren i 2018.

On the island Ålforo in Fitjar municipality, until the 1970s, a population figure was the basis for school, shop and prayer house. The annual Hatlevik bazaar was one of the significant events in this small community, and the profits from this bazaar always went to the sailor mission.
The people who lived there were occupied with fishing and farming. Social development brought about relocation, and today it is the most holidaymaker who visits the island.
In 1984, more people associated with this island community raised the tradition of the annual Hatlevik bazaar. There is one yearly bazaar early in July at Hatlevik. Arrivals came from all of Sunnhordland, from Bergen and just south to the Stavanger area. What lures many to the Hatlevik bazaar are probably the many beautiful things that are being sold at the big auction. Many of these beautiful things on the auction host sold at high prizes. One significant effort is made both of creating the beautiful thing that is sold at the auction. Many individuals are involved in bringing free food and coffee to the many participants at the bazaar. It hosts and sets up free transport by speedboat from both Bømlo and Stord. A beautiful day was a right frame for the successful Hatlevik bazaar in 2018.

I det frodige landskapet i Hatlevik på Ålforo, ser me at jordbruket ikkje er heilt borte. Nokre sauer viser at det framleis vert drive litt av det som var livsgrunnlaget for folk som budde her fram til 1970-talet.

In the lush landscape of Hatlevik on Ålforo, I see that agriculture is not gone all the way. Some sheep show that the front is worth a bit of what was the basis of life for people who invited here until the 1970s.
