Stonewalls beautiful old cultural heritage
The photos here show an example of stonewalls at Bømlo.
Note how excellent the different stones are adapted to each other in the first picture.
Such stonewalls were used to fence various parts of the property. Other purposes could be a part of a building, an outbuilding that could be the accommodation of livestock, or they could be the basement of a farmhouse.
Such remains of stone walls are many of the Bømlo like the rural areas all over Norway.
These stone walls are a testimony to the culture that was in previous centuries.
Interesting building.
Everything is very thought out and the wall is a very interesting architectural structure.
On each stone you can see some intricate pattern.
I could look at them for hours.
In some places visible, and the moss and lichen,
perhaps they already seem many years :-)
So to say the cultural heritage of your people.
