The fountain of lights

It is very difficult to paint with the watercolor technique.
It takes years of studies and attempts, I still paint some watercolor to be discarded.

sometimes I throw it, other times I put it aside waiting for a better inspiration.

The results do not always come as you hope, moreover, the watercolor does not allow you to cancel the color.

In the watercolor technique, the greatest difficulty is to paint light.

The light is white.

The watercolor paper is almost always white.

White is not used as a watercolor color.
If you use white it is not a pure and original watercolor!

In national and international contests, the watercolor must not be white, otherwise it is excluded!

So where is the white?

The answer is very simple: white is paper, the color of the sheet.

Where you want the light, don't paint, working in the negative.

My artist friends on Steemit, know the difficulties of a watercolor and often abandon this wonderful technique.

Returning to the color of light, today I share a painting where you can see the effects of the white of the paper on the water that runs down from the fountain.

I tried to leave the color in transparency, that of small jets of water.

I delicately painted light veils of neutral color, but I emphasized with cerulean blue and green, the inside of the tank that collects water.

An obvious visual and chromatic appeal to nature.

The result is a fountain with lots of vegetation, lush and green.
A city miracle that should come back into fashion in the big cities.

But mine is just a dream watercolor.

A hug of light.
Armando

This is a perfect example of how to work with watercolor.
The white of the light on the hair of the black cat is the color of the paper.

I really liked seeing his painting of this beautiful fountain, it is incredible the level of detail he has, makes his work magnificent.

We are never perfect, that could happen to everyone. I think it goes in the same learning. :)

You already have experience in this technique that is very difficult for me, I would love to paint as you or others of the artists who are very good with the acualreas, but for more than practice and practice I do not achieve anything in particular.
