This image came to life during a 5-Day Tempera Grassa workshop with Philip Rubinov Jacobson and Mantra Cora in the Summer of 2017.
Philip is a disciple of Ernst Fuchs, the renowned artist and founder of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism. It feels like quite a blessing to get connected with the whole lineage, learning the techniques of the old masters. It was my first experience of studying with them, and so far ever since I've attended to two of their other workshops, and they definitely expanded my painting skills.

This piece is not completely finished and I am looking forward to complete it when the timing is right. We were exploring a technique where we were starting an artwork with a pencil, then applying a layer of a cremnitz white with a liquin medium. Next we were working with the shadow and light, then the layers of colors, and learning of how to make our own egg tempera.

Here are some images from this painting journey:

What a deep aura it is! It spread unexplainable atmosphere. A bit looks like Mona Lisa. Tender and natural. Imbued into my soul so deeply. Great work! Thank you ~~~

Thank you so much!;) Glad you like! I would love to post in nTopaz more often, it's just that so far I had some trouble with posting, and this was stopping me. Not sure if I am doing something wrong but each time my image isn't showing up until someone is fixing it later. Sometimes it gets cropped in a different way that I intended it to be. And wondering how can you post multiple images? just hosting it elsewhere first? And do you use the same codes to format your text? I would appreciate some assistance with figuring this out;) <3

Hi @astraeir. Sorry for delay! ❤ Yes, you can use the same code.

Beautiful portrait, Kati :) Love the soft and diffused style you use here :) The patterns are drawn beautifully, as always, and so very true to your style :D It is wonderful to see the process pictures, as well, as it is always lovely to see the artist at work :)

The method of its creation really gives it a very special vibes... Gorgeous and mystical <3

Thank you!=) Glad you like this one too! <3
