From Lightpainting until Epilepsy and back

in #ntopaz5 years ago

ntopaz-image-0Hello dear friends of my lightart.

As some have noticed, I have not been very active in the social networks for a long time. Unfortunately, in September 2018, I was hit by a fatal blow and now I suffer from a disease that, in my view, is probably the worst thing that can happen to a Lightpainter.

"EPILEPSY"

Everything that has to do with flickering lights is forbidden to me. Surely you can imagine that I could not accept that. But after all those failed attempts to find the right medicine to find a cure, I had to give up after a few more seizures and accept the circumstances.

To somehow continue to actively contribute to the Lightpainting movement, I have tried to raise awareness of the possibility of decentralization of our data and have repeatedly made aware of the Steemit Blockchain Platforms. Unfortunately, I met with too little response and further seizures forced me to take a break from this idealistic driven project as well.

So for a few months, I've been concentrating only on my health and trying to adapt to the circumstances. Since I am also managing a creative hub space for about 25 artists here in Berlin and there were also some work to do in its facilities, it was important to do justice to these tasks. The space for artists in this city are shrinking, and therefore this is also not an easy fight. Fortunately, a lot has developed into something positive and in the course of this, I have recently renovated my Lightpainting Studio, which I now offer to other visual artists for their projects as well.

Although some conflicts with lightpainting arose for me and because of some developments and personal concerns, I had great difficulty staying on my idealistic path, but it was important to complete the second episode of the Lightpainting Documentary "The Path Of Light". The Moving Apes and Juggling Josh took care of it and created a path out of the darkness, back into the light for me. The focus was back. From this project, the strength and confidence has grown again in me to let my energy flow again in the direction of lightpainting and when my Jungelistic Lightpainting brother Dawn confirmed that he will join the local movie premiere, I felt totally motivated and knew that I wanted to paint with him together with light, like in the good old days. So in the course of the preparations I made my first attempts at it.

I can tell you with pleasure that I have successfully done some sessions and so far have been spared from seizures. The session with Dawn on the "The Path Of Light 2" movie premiere was also very successful and hurray!, I am still standing.

I am deeply grateful to the people who helped me in my hard times despite all the circumstances. You gave me strength when I did not have one myself. You restored to me the faith I had lost and you charged me with selfless love that I could not give anymore.

Thanks a lot! I love you too!

Here is my first lightpainting picture after months of abstinence as a small thank you, for one of the people who took care of me and the preservation of our shared place for creative heads. Since I still have to thank some more people, more "Thank You" portraits will follow, because a photo sometimes says more than 1000 words.

It`s a new dawn - It´s a new light - It´s a new life for me....
...and I am feeling good.

Peace. Love & Unity!

Greetings @mafufuma, I know a little about your illness because I have a very close uncle who also suffers from epilepsy and in Venezuela it is even more difficult because the medicine to control a little the disease is not found much and is very expensive and attacks that they touch are strong and very hard.

I send you a lot of good vibes from this part of the world and I hope you find yourself better and do not stop publishing your art. ;)

I'm not happy about what happened to you, but I'm glad to see how you struggle to overcome adversity and keep doing what you like, it's not easy, just thinking about it depresses me, leaving what you like because your health gets in the way ... I wish you many successes and blessings, encouragement, it is a pleasure tenete returned, your work I like very much! \O,

Thank U, but it would be even more supportive if you share your nTopaz/ Steemit activities on the other social media networks as well to raise more awareness of the new possibilities. ;-)

I do remember how it was not to long ago when a few light painter’s joined and disappeared. For a while I was the only one really active and @dawnoner was posting here and there. Some people contacted me directly and in personal messages and talks I share my experiences. The general mood here on steem is very tense at the moment and think the general sceptical opinion about all crypto plus the state of steem shines a difficult light these days. I think during the coming upwind we will see more new users. If we support each other and convince friends directly it will actually have sustainable impact rather than people opening accounts and leave after 2-5 posts as we seen before. The time will come for each and everyone on their terms. Word of mouth may just be the best option we have at this complicated moment. One has to be guided to set up an account and help through the first posts and then beeing continuesly supported buy curators like @georgeboya who helped me stay tuned. This is what iam here for now too. For now I want to encourage people to stay on board. Leading by example with positive encouragement and interaction and interest.

Iam looking forward to positive thinking and support to the art Form we share so dear - now also in this community.

I think this is totally the wrong strategy. You are owner of a website with a big reach into the lightpainting scene. You are an influencer now and you just want to talk with some local friends? Dude, you should write an article on lightpainters.com and write about your experience here to make people aware of it and then you can people encourage to try and to stay on board.

Thanks for the shout out bro!!!
I'm proud to take part in it and give support to you and this awesome documentary project.

Unity is strength.

LIGHTPAINTERS UNITED!!!

Good idea, executed excellently! 📸👍
